THE 2024 FLATCOAT SPECIALTY IS THE PLACE TO BE

UPDATE – 2024-03-03: The Halifax Kennel Club has recently received approval for their show dates – August 30 – September 1, 2024. The Flat-Coated Retriever Society of Canada has adjusted the Specialty schedule to optimize exhibitor participation in the weekend’s scheduled events.

Schedule

Friday, August 30 – FCRSC Sweepstakes, HKC Conformation Show, FCRSC Annual Meeting

Saturday, August 31 – FCRSC Specialty – Dog and Bitch regular classes, Best of Breed, Non-Regular/Unofficial classes, HKC Conformation Show, FCRSC Dinner

Sunday, September 1 – HKC Conformation Shows (2 shows on Sunday), Eastern Flyway Hunting Retriever Club – Hunt Tests

Monday, September 2 – Eastern Flyway Hunting Retriever Club – Hunt Tests

TBA – Halifax Kennel Club – 2 Obedience trials and 2 Rally Obedience trials schedule

If you missed the party in British Columbia in 2023, make sure to not miss the party in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia

over the Labour Day weekend – August 30, 31 and September 1 & 2, 2024

In addition to conformation Sweepstakes and the Specialty, plans are in the works to offer obedience, rally and hunt tests. Lots of fun for everyone.

The Specialty will be held in conjunction with the Halifax Kennel Club All Breed Shows, All Breed Obedience Trials and All Breed Rally-Obedience Trials at the East Hants Sportsplex located in Lantz, Nova Scotia. The Eastern Flyway Hunting Retriever Club will host a field trial (Saturday) and Hunt Tests (Sunday and Monday).
